The key to complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act is preparation. To assist companies in their preparations for compliance, we offer the following:
1. Functional Job Descriptions
A written ADA compliant Job Description is critical.
Preparing and maintaining such written job descriptions, with specificity, assist in defining essential and nonessential job functions, help an employer manage employees and maximize control over how the work will flow through the operation. The Job Description provides a tool for all of this.
All job descriptions are developed by a specially trained Redding Physical Therapy clinician.
2. Accommodations Assessment
We provide assessments of your workplace and of the covered employee to help document the process which an employer uses to decide on reasonable accommodation and further assist in designing a specific policy concerning reasonable accommodation.
The Assessment will provide the employer written recommendations of appropriate job accommodation, sources and costs.
- Reduces litigation exposure through evidence of ‘good faith’ efforts in complying with the ADA.
- Establishes safe and efficient accommodated work stations
