These screenings or assessments have a prospective employee demonstrate the ability to perform simulated tasks directly related to the job description to determine whether the candidate has the physical ability to safely perform the functions of the job.
Since historically a disproportionately higher amount of work injuries occur in the first 6-9 months of employment, an initial Pre-Placement/Post-Offer screening can reduce Workers’ Compensation risks.
Additionally, higher risk individuals can be identified and, as desired, recommendations for accommodation[s] developed.
Benefits:
- Reduces the risk of work-related injuries
- Provides a pre-injury physical baseline
- Ensures qualified employment candidates
